Burkhart Roentgen is a parent company that was founded in Connecticut, 1974. Doing business as USAXRAY, we manufacture over 90% of our products for radiation protection. In the 1990’s, we move our headquarters and manufacturing to St. Petersburg, Fl. We provide not only products but customization, repairs, disposal, rentals, and many more services.

We specialize in lead aprons available in various sizes, styles, colors, lead equivalencies and weights to meet all your personal radiation needs. Our lead aprons and thyroid shields can be customized with logos and monogramming.

Protection – Our armholes and necklines are high to give maximum coverage.
Comfort – We provide extra thick memory foam shoulder pads and foam padding in our wings.
Weight Distribution – 6” wide Cinch Belt included where applicable, at no extra charge.
Pocket – Trademark riveted breast pocket included where applicable.
Thyroid Shield – When ordered with apron it is connected at the neck with a lanyard.
Quality – There is no weak point, all edges are double seamed with ribbon binding.
Guarantee – 2-Year guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship.

Zero™ Lead-Free

– Lead-free, Ultra-lightweight, flexible, contains No Lead Environmentally Friendly, and recyclable x-radiation protection material, using a mixture of two attenuating elements, antimony and tungsten, in a mixture optimized for minimum area-weight and maximum attenuation in the key diagnostic imaging range of 80 – 100 kV.

Vital™ Lead-Free

– Lead-Free, lightweight, flexible, contains No Lead Environmentally Friendly, and recyclable x-radiation protection material.

Economy Lead

– Heavy and rigid x-radiation protection material using a mixture of attenuating elements, Lead and Plastisol in a mixture optimized for maximum attenuation in the key diagnostic imaging range of 70 – 100 kV. The Economy Lead is not disposable or recyclable. Used for certain wearable aprons & accessories and all Table Drapes.
